Mat Pilates is a series of exercises created by Joseph Pilates alongside his wife Clara. the exercises were created to promote mobility/flexibility and strength using our body. Over the years with further learning, movements have been slightly adapted but still holding to it's true core values. We use different pieces of apparatus to enhance or challenge some exercises. Breathwork is an integral part of working through the Pilates repertoire, allowing us to use our breath to aid movement.
Pilates matwork is for everyone, starting from our first layer we can then layer up exercises to create more challenge to our core and body.
Matwork can be offered as 1-2-1 sessions, duets so you can train with a friend or a max of four people in my personal space or in a space you all feel comfortable in.
What do I/we need? All you need is you, comfortable clothes and an exercise mat....ready to go!
